Hi!

New owner here. I bought 1998 Wave. Overall cat in good condition but few things broken: two bolt that holding rudder broken. Is this screws screwed into some kind of inserts? What is best way to extract them without creating more problems?

Thanks,

Yes, there are molded-in inserts.

May be aluminum or stainless on this year vintage. Newer boats use bronze.

Will require careful drilling to limit heat and a screw extractor.

It is stainless.

So, I guess heating it with heatgun is bad idea?
