Does all the standing rigging need to be changed if you go from SE to SX model?

Only the bridal wires are interchangable.
You will need new shrouds, trap wires, upper and lower forestay.

Thanks I am looking at an SX and I just trashed my SE and I really like the SE set up so the thought being I could run it both ways and see what I prefer. We have tons of wind so the SE has plenty of power and Dacron last longer than mylar sails but the SX has newer hulls.

I think the upper forestay is interchangable, lower is definately longer. You can use SE traps on the SX stick, may need to extend the line for your hooks.

If you can wait I am going back to the SE mast and would have some SX rigging available after that change.

I was just going off the parts #'s, there has to be some difference if they are using another part #.

Could you get a Dacron sail made for the SX?

You could go back with Dacron after the the first one goes bad. Dacron just last longer and cost less its really not a bad idea it beats swapping out rigging and mast.

Floyd, if you picked up an SX I would be pretty jealous! Why don't you just let me know where you saw it so I can go take a look...

It was on craigslist but expired so I emailed someone who emailed someone who had the owners contact info but I have not been able to reach him yet.
