Hiyas
Sorry for this dormant Forum.
I had to get the right gear:
Right now an Oregon Scientific ATK9K
Just bought a Contour HD (nice, nice [you're bloody well right])

I've got 2 Contour GPS's coming over on Tuesday

and 3 Railblaza CameraBoom 600 hopefully before the summer ends fron NZ

I've also downloaded PowerDirector 9.
Odd I can grab vid from the ATK9K but nothing from the Contour HD.

These both produce .mov output but nothing works with the Contour HD.
Any suggestions please?

Thanks
Fred

I have the Contour GPS and a bunch of accessories. I've only fiddled with it as of yet because I haven't received the waterproof case yet (coming Thursday).
I picked it up on a "Pro-Deal" over the regular HD model because it supports the bluetooth view-finder and controls right from the get go. Just need to pick up a iPod touch and waterproof case for that and I'd be good to go.
As soon as the + model becomes available through Pro-Deal, I'll probably nab one of those as well.

To me, it was more a more appealing product than Go-Pro... just lacks some of the Go-Pro aftermarket support at the moment.

As for video editing... visit the Contour support forums, there is actually A LOT of good info there and their staff is pretty active there as well.
I use Adobe Premier after exporting the files, but I'm looking to move to something else myself. My problem is, like music, I am more likely to wait to get something pirated than I am ever willing to purchase.
