I have only ever filled and re-drilled holes in old lexan rudders. My stock 87 EPO rudders have never needed bolt hole repairs of any kind. May I ask then, how were the old EPO rudders sealed at the bolt holes, and are these new rudders constructed differently so that the inner layers of material will be exposed to water intrusion, more so than the older units, when they are drilled ??? Hope I never have to know, but we all know you could break a rudder the next time you hit the water, so this thread made me curious.
