I haven't noticed anything new about jibs for a TI lately. And trying to use the "Search" function, it won't accept Jib as a word. too common. And I don't know what else to call it. I didn't even try 'foresail'.

Anyhow, I am wondering if anyone has come up with a good working jib design for the TI yet?

I've got another Hobie sail ( sail kit for our Hobie i14t) that I will never use again after getting the TI. A shame not to be able to use it. Maybe with a crane on the masthead, and some reinforcement under the bow attachment?

We sailed for five hours yesterday, 15-18 kts. with gusts to over 20. (day started with gusts over 30). We went six miles out to another island, explored a little, then sailed back. an hour out on open water going over, two hours back. I would have liked some more sail.

If you go to my original posting The ultimate Tandem Island (hydrofoils, spinnaker, jib, etc) viewtopic.php?f=69&t=33720
It goes into great detail on how to make a furlable mast topper, and a bra on the bow to support the jib (if you don't want to use the lift cleat).
Before making my own jib (a little larger), I used a standard Hobie Kayak sail for the jib for a while.

The roto furler is the one that Halibu77 made and posted on Youtube.

Been using everything for over a year now without any problems.

You shouldn't need to make any modifications to the boat itself.

Hope this helps
