You can order a new one for about $11 or $12 from a Hobie dealer or make a sturdy one out of 1/2" schedule 80 PVC irrigation riser (any hardware or irrigation store) for $1 or $2. If your cracked one looks structurally unsound, it may come apart and allow the boat to drop on someone's foot at a most inconvenient moment. 8)

As opposed to a "convenient" time!

BK- the handle on my AI was in sad shape and I worried about the cracks but I continued to haul and load my very heavy hobie with no problems.

I doubt you will ever stress it to the point of failure with a REVO, but 12 bucks gets you a nice shiny new one.

You can make a handle from a short section of PVC pipe. Drill a hole in the middle of it and run your carry rope through it, knot it and push it back inside.
