The 1989 Hobie 18 that I recently purchased has small, stainless plates mounted at the front of the daggerboard wells with black rubber underneath, to help keep the daggerboards in the desired position. "Hobie" is printed on the top, so they are a Hobie product but I can't find them in any parts list....are they from a different Hobie? I need to replace the black rubber and am looking for a replacement part.

Thanks,

Mark

I'm curious about these. It is common to see cracks at the front of the well and an item like you describe would be awesome. Can you post pics of these here?

Discontinued in the 80's.

Little strip of carpet inside he well works great... or nothing at all. The bungee tension holds the boards just fine.
