I'll be watching and anticipating coming along but too early to confirm.

I'll look into this. Might be able to stay Saturday night and sail Sunday. Have to work in the salt mines Monday...

I really do need to get out!

The campsite looks to be well above the water, is it much of a Hand-Haul to launch?

Think there's a boat ramp in the camping area Max.

Yep, not a problem Max. It has fairly easy access to the water.

Got my Weather Eye on it, some strong Northerlies perhaps but better than no wind. I guess being in the middle you can go either way.

That's a pity Dave. Weather is looking pretty ordinary. But Sunday looks about the best although a bit cool. It's still a fair time until Sunday and these predictions are changing by the minute.

Sunday 11 September HUNTER
Winds West to southwesterly 20 to 30 knots becoming southwesterly 15 to 25 knots during the afternoon then decreasing to 15 to 20 knots during the evening. Seas Up to 3 metres decreasing to 2 metres during the evening. Swell Southerly 2 metres.

Yep, it changes quickly and Sunday could be good despite this forecast.

I'm not looking too sweet for the weekend as health is not up to par and 850K round trip is not enticing for a 1-day sail. Hoping some events will materialise at Port Stephens in the Summer maybe?

Not a problem Max. I know where you're coming from. Even though Coffs is one of the nicest spots on the East coast, I'd be hesitant about driving up there for a 1 day sail as well.

Yes, Port Stephens is a definite this summer. A Broughton Island 3 dayer would be really good. Those sailors coming down from the North could possibly launch from Tea Gardens Jimmy's Beach, rather than drive all the way round Port Stephens to get to us Southerners launch site at Shoal Bay. The 2 launch site are only a stones throw away from each other, ie: we could watch each other launch, but it's probably about a 1 hour drive.

Good idea, I look forward to it.
