Sold my Capri 14.2 last year and got serious sailing withdrawl this summer; Found a 14Turbo fairly locally in decent shape. Picked it upi last week and sailed for the first time last Monday.
I am really impressed with the boat. I always wanted to try a cat versus a monohull and so far it has exceeded my expectations - I thought it woul be more difficult to sail.
What I like most about it - it is very stable platform, my Capri was very "tender" and it was always difficlut to relax even in fairly light winds.

1 - question: I have locked the travelle in the center of the track for now - what is the point of the traveller? Is to get the sail as far out as possible when heading down wind?

thanks gerry

The traveler works like the vang on your Capri in that it holds the boom down when you're sailing off the wind. Travel out and sheet in to reduce the twist in the sail.

And yes, it does allow you to get the sail out all the way downwind.
