Hi there, i hove bought an old H18.
There are differences between the US boat and the European ones ?

The basic H18 platform is the same....any difference would be in the mast.
In North America, as I remember, there is a H18SE, with the regular mast.
The H18SX, and the model sold in Europe, (hobie Formulae) had a mast 18" taller.....and a thinner mainsail.

Can others please comment....srm or one of the Matt's or Mike....or whoever can help out here...

US boats should have the CompTip. Most other differences are mostly cosmetic / slight hardware differences typically.

and what about the hull problems in mid 80's i should use the reinforce plate ?
here in italy hc say that doesn't exist.

May have only been a problem in the US when we changed the glass layup... 1984 - 1988 models were most effected.

Thank you, i have seen some crack under the lips around the cross bar. They aren,t a gelcoat crack. Where i can buy in usthe reinforce plate ?

Ok thank you, i have to order the items in USA since here in Italy doesn't exist.
Another question, someone can tell me the lenght of the righting line ?
In my old H16 i just use a line at the base of the mast but i don't know the measure.
