Has anyone had a Rudder Pin come loose while sailing. After 5 years sailing my A1 I never had a problem like this happen before even in high winds. Today winds got to be up near/or over 20 mph. My rudder pin came out about an inch. I also may have another problem with my rudder. My rudder would steer to port but would not turn as far to starboard. I have kept the A1 in water attached by rope all 6 weeks. Today I'm going to get my wheels out of the trunk and take the A1 out of the water. Six weeks of fantastic sailing. After rudder problem is fixed, hopefully soon, Lake Michigan next before cold weather sets in!?!

Is it possible the bottom of the rudder pin broke, but not the top? Normally the lines at the top would stop the older pins from riding up more that 1/8" .
