Matt Bounds and crew Paul Krutty will be sailing in US Sailing's Championship of Champions Regatta this weekend. It is being held at the Corinthian Sailing Club in Dallas, TX and sailed on Flying Scots.

Hey Matt- Your not supposed to tack downwind in those things!!

Interesting to note that the Flying Scot guys won it handily. Those boats are hard to sail fast. Wonder how they'd do if the roles were reversed and asked to sail an F18?

Having sold my old 1950's vintage (Hull #179) Scot early this spring, I have to say I still have a soft spot in my heart for them. I cut my racing teeth on that boat 20+ years ago. Perhaps that explains my current success (or lack thereof) on the H18 this year :roll: ...

I think those are the types of boats that I try to race against when I'm out on my Bravo!! They don't usually do so well. :) I can't imagine going from a "real" Hobie racing boat to one of those!
