I would like to leave my Hobie Wave in the water because I have a seawall and no way to lift it out of the water and do not want to trailer it every time I want to sail. Will it grow barnacles at Sanibel? If so, any suggestions on getting it over a seawall or preventing barnacles. Thanks, Betsy

Barnicles will grow on almost anything given enough time. I've seen them on plastic, fiberglass, wood, metal, and even bottom paint that was supposed to be proof against then.

Post a picture or two of your seawall and maybe we can suggest a means of surmounting it.

Cheers,

J

Pictures would help but low seawalls can be defeated by a couple of 2x6s, some old carpet and a length of rope.
