I believe you guys when you tell me the Revo is balanced so close that when power is taken off abruptly ....it spins

This is only going to happen without the rudder down. The discussion is about paddling without the rudder deployed.

Let me say that there's nothing wrong with the boat - apparently this is just the result of a kayak that was designed and intended to be used with the Mirage Drive and if paddled, with the rudder down.

I do like it. And by the way, with the drive out of my PA, with the longer Turbo ST fins, I've hit 7MPH with it for short distances (1/4 mile). Making 3.5MPH on an easy, casual stroke is easy and can be kept up for hours. It's a fast little boat.

Thank you for this post. I experienced the exact same thing in my Revo 11 and thought it was broken. I had to compensate by paddling HARD to the right side to avoid making u-turns!

With the rudder down it's fine, BUT, the only time i use the paddle is in shallow water where the rudder is best in the UP position. So, kinda sucks.

Hey, something for Hobie to work on! Still love my Revo.
