HOBIE® OUTDOOR ADVENTURES TV SERIES DEBUT

We are excited to announce that a new series featuring the use of Hobie Cat® products called Hobie Outdoor Adventures will debut on Thursday, December 29th at 8:30am EST on the Versus Channel. The series will air once per week for 13 weeks, and each episode will feature a different adventure centered around a Hobie Cat product, from night fishing to the Transparentsea voyage on Hobie Mirage® Tandem Islands. At the conclusion of the 13 weeks of Hobie Outdoor Adventures, the same time slot will feature the IFA Redfish Tour Television Series, with a segment of each episode dedicated to the IFA Kayak Fishing Tournament sponsored by Hobie Cat. As of January 2, 2012, the Versus television network will become NBC Sports and Outdoors, so be sure to verify air times with that channel in mind come the new year. Please note that it is possible the January 5th episode may be pre-empted, so check your local listings.

Hobie Outdoor Adventures will also air twice weekly in the state of Texas on the Texas Channel. Our air times are not confirmed at this writing, so please check your local listings. Please note that it is possible the January 5th episode may be pre-empted, so again, be sure to check your local listings.

Any chance that these episodes could be posted online after they air (maybe even on these forums) for those of us who don't live in the USA?

Sounds like a very interesting series 8)
I would be particularly interested in the Transparentsea voyage on Hobie Mirage® Tandem Islands.
Hope it makes it to You Tube

I do not see it listed in my guide, perhaps it will only be aired in Texas

It aired on Versus. 11:30 EST... 8:30 PST. For me it was on Uverse channel 1640 (640 in Standard def).

Check the Hobie Fishing Facebook page for feedback on the airing.

I am told that we will start seeing the series (shows after they air) on-line after the New Year.

Well if it was on versus with my cable provider, then they did not have it listed as such in their guide. So if it aired I am guessing many folks did not tune in.
Perhaps they should be notified as to updating their guide. Good to hear it was a good show to bad I could not find it.

We will try to get better programming information as this goes forward. Since the Versus channel is changing to "NBC Sports" tomorrow... may be way easier to find.

Is this going to be available in Australia?

Maybe on Foxtel?

Thanks for the link, looks like its going to be an awesome show. I can wait to see some sailing action. I wonder if they will show any hobies with mods at all?

I looked for it too but found hockey. I'm getting the impression that this show is exclusively about fishing. Fishing is fun but watching it on TV....I think I'd rather watch paint dry.

It will have a variety of content. I'd guess a larger percent will be fishing, but they also plan shows on Island sailing and cat sailing.
