Great pictures, Rick (InTents). I don't think it will affect your entry, but it is sunrise, not sunset. Terrific bird shot.

I like that line up, Jim (CaptnChaos.)

Now you guys have got me looking at my pictures.

Keith

Busted! Come on Keith, I was going for romance points with the sunset angle! But you are correct, the sun does not set in the east in our world.

Keith knows that it is a sunrise because he was one of the other 3 good folks on the trip and he knows the place well.

I have edited the title.

I can see I'll have to keep my best ( which I haven't taken yet ) till last. Very unique Geordie. This can't be in WA though, there are clouds in the sky.
That's an armada and a half Jim. You may have just broken the record for the most AI/TI's in the one photo ??? If there is another, with more, I'm sure we would all like to see it.

If you look carefully, you'll see eight AI/TI's in this photo of the day out on Sydney Harbour last year (taken by Cowsgomoo). As I recall, that's the one you wimped out on, mate  .

How to Enjoy an 8-Day AI Camping Trip

Image

This is Jim Quinlan enjoying a light wind day during our planned 7-day camping trip along coastal Everglades. Because of days like this, it became an 8-day trip. Still lots of fun and laughs with great companions.

Rick, I now realize you titled that photo "Sunset" with your sweetheart, Lillian, in mind. Sorry for blowing it. Sob. Sob.

Jim's (CaptnChaos) picture actually omits an 8th AI which is behind him.

Ah Keith, in the immortal words of Cowsgomoo: "If there's no pics, it didn't happen."

OK Keith, I concede. And it was taken this year too! See, Slaughter, if you'd turned up last year, we could have had an unassailable nine!

And yet ANOTHER shot of the Pavilion Armada from the other end. So, as a team, do we get extra points for over shooting the same scene?

Image

The photo was taken January 17, 2012. OK, I'll stop now.

Keith - I had to tell Lilian it was a sunset because she would never believe I got up early enough to see an actual sunrise!

You guys definitely deserve extra points:

1. Because the shots were taken this year and are eligible for the 2012 competition.

2. Because you managed to assemble the eight boats in the wilderness, not in the middle of a big city.

Great picture, Rick. Much better than my sunrise picture.

I must have celib status as I am in both pictures!!

If you live anywhere in the southeast an Everglades trip in the winter is about as good as it gets. Thanks to all and especially Keith for getting us all together.

Plus the fresh fish is great.

Good on ya Chris. In fact I'm in the background about 106kms away. If only Cows had had his long lens on. The Jervis Bay outing in a few weeks may well beat 8. Are you going Chris ?

I like the coloured umbrella shot. My pick so far.
