No the mast rotator and its connection to the mast is being spoken about.
There is no triangular connection plate.
From what I can see there is a lot of salt corrosion taking place.
I was at Hobie shop this morning discussing water in the mast which has been been leaking through from the mast rotator bolt.
In short his comment that after +20 years, the area of plug seal above the rotator is probably no longer good and needs to be redone / resealed. According to him every H18 needs to be redone / resealed every so often for this mast rotator area.
I was going to connect a vacuum pump to get this small amount of water out (+- 1 litre from when I last turtled). Logically not a good idea as it would have totally damaged the plug seals.
