Yeah, the thread in the rudder lever is recessed a bit, so it will probably only go in about 3½ turns. Still, with a bit of Loctite, that might be enough. Anyway, I've ordered one, plus a couple of adaptors which result in a RAM ball clamp attached rigidly to the end of a piece of ½" or 1" pipe. I have to wait for the parts to arrive from Nevada
, so I'll report back in a week or two.
I've got one of those suction cups. It sticks fine just forward of the front crossbar, but the hull is too rough or too curved further back. I was fiddling with it earlier today and I was actually able to lift the end of the boat with it.
