I have used caravan poptop mechanisms and added 12 volt dc actuators, flick a switch and the roof raises or lowers. I have incorperated a fire escape, pull 2 pins and actuators are released, push roof up, unzip rear fly screen, climb out onto solar panels. Kitchen is directly beneath entry hatch, most likely place for fire
Thank you all for your interest
Cheers

Don't be envious or jealous, be INSPIRED!!, anyone can travel.
Besides I have only recently discovered the wonderful world of the Hobie AI and TI's, I feel bad for all those whom have not yet found the lifestyle

Nice rig, it's like a mansion on wheels. agree the TI is a blessing I was sailing a larger glass Tri for a few years and got weary of the grind, to start it took me 4 hours to rig and launch compared to the TI's 10 minutes.

I see it every Sunday, I launch at the local sailing club, go for an hour so, return and poor buggers are still rigging and fighting with their boats. Most of them do not bother to turn up when winds are light, I am like most others able to sail my TI on a breeze.

That's what it's all about. And Ballina is a top spot to love life in.
