I searched and didn't come up with much. Is there a timeline that lines out what changes Hobie made to the 16 over the years?

In particular things like

mast base/ step
shroud length/ mast rake etc
rudder design
boat weight
Integrated vs the stainless riveted track for main and jib cars

I think you get the idea. I am not after rigging upgrades per say as one could go on forever with changes and upgrades to jib cars and sheet blocks etc.

I have done tons of research on the history of the H16. I do not believe that such a timeline exists. However, I am sure someone on the forum has the necessary knowledge to compile a timeline. Knowing all of what has been changed would certainly help someone like myself decide which aspects of my old boat would be worth modernizing.

Unfortunately, that page is a little too vague for what these guys are looking for - and it had a few errors that I've corrected now.

I could put something together, but it would only be a rough approximation in some cases. Plus, you have to consider that a 30 or 40 year old boat is not going to have all its original parts.

However, you've given me an idea for a Hotline article . . .
