Purpose of starboard stern plug

What's the purpose of the starboard plug on the upper stern of the AI. I find no mention of it in the online owners manual. Its too high up to be a drain plug. Was it made for depth finding electronics.

Not if you turn the hull upside down!
If yours is an older AI with the small rudder pin it is the drain plug.
It was changed to a lower position with the upgraded transom.

I have a 2012 hull with smaller drain plug under the rudder.

The bigger one on the side use to be the only drain plug, but you'd have to roll the hull on it's side and lift the bow to use it, putting most of the hull's weight on the rudder.

The only other use I've see for it was in Australia, someone made a SS ball mount, that screws in replacing the plastic plug, to mount a fish finder transducer to.
