Here is the issue, We are looking for a boat that is family friendly and has good performance, enter the Getaway. However my wife having quite a bit of sailing experience in Lasers and Laser2's is thinking this boat, although it meets the 'family friendly' aspect may not hit the performance aspect that she is looking for. To add to her concern the getaway promo video is 'tame' at best.

Are there any videos out there that show the Getaway in a more aggressive setting?

Cheers,
B.

I don't know about any video that shows the Getaway in more wind. Unfortunately the conditions were light when I shot the promo footage. The Getaway does have the punch you want though. Way more fun than Lasers for sure!

I still can't figure that video out. It looks like it is dead calm yet getting the hull up while out on the wing. Any way I wish I had some video of the last week or so, but the jet ski could not keep up :D

Yep, most of the video was shot in light air. We had a short period of breeze. The wind was coming off shore, so it doesn't look all that windy... maybe 10-12 knots.

Ok so that sounds like a bit of a challange. Can anyone out there post their own Getaway video and while we are it how about posting top speeds if you happen to be sailing with a GPS. We have decided to buy the getaway so I will try to rise up to this challange as well...
Cheers,
B.

I hit 18mph solo last year, over 16 mph with 3 on board.
