add yourself as a collaborator. You may need to set up a google account? I already have one and seemed to be already logged in so it "just happened"

There is a simple editing interface, you just click where you wish to add yourself.

Added my location to the map and are the first person in New Zealand to add either a Tandem or Adventure Island, but I know there are others in the country.

I actually bought it second hand off another forum member

I've added my location in South Louisiana. New to me, 2010 Yellow Tandem Island. Still haven't taken it out yet as of today.

Tried to go to the map (the new one on Google) and got error 404. Is it still active?

According to Google Maps Help, you need to be invited via your gmail email address to be able to make changes.
A solution could be to create a gmail address, then a map, then publish the address of the map, the login gmail address and password.
Perhaps someone who isn't sailing at the moment Tony, could do this for us.

This would allow us all to login and mark our (approximate only re security - where to pinch an island) location and hopefully our Hobie Forum name to allow a personal email via this site.

This isn't a perfect solution as any person could delete all entries.
If someone knows a better solution, please advise.

Not that I would spend a lot of time on this as it laid dormant for about 3 years, but the idea is good.

Cheers,
Brian in South Australia

Another option would be for Hobie to publish a map of all the island club locations with contact information for the club. This leaves the personal info out for security.
