That's a different tackle storage concept in front of the seat. The cutting board arear is now a regular lid and the amount of tackle storage appears to be less. The seat does looks comfortable as well, but the current seat on the sliding base is hard to beat!

I still like my 2012 13.5 PA...lol.

Beside dual steering and a new seat, it is 1'-8" shorter. You lose two rod holders , storage and not much in the weight department. And whats the cost? close or same? :?:

Same color options and price is $2,549 just like the PA14.

You actually only lose 1 rod holder because on the PA14 the steering controls kill the middle holder on the port side.

Nah, that's where you put your two-piece fly rod, broken down. The inch or so behind the reel fits that blocked rest just right.

I use that rod holder for my ultra lite set-up. Fits fine!!
I've seen others use that spot for their anchor pole.

My only question is. Can the seat in the 12, fit the 14? Or some mods need to be made?

How is hull support for the PA 12? Is there foam inserts like the ones in the 14 or was the hull design made to handle it as if there were foam inserts?
