After a lot of patience, I finally found one on Craigslist over the winter. Water has finally warmed up here and sailed her yesterday for the first time in a steady 15, gusting to 20. Needless to say, I am very happy with my new toy, and believe I made a good decision. I noticed some of the same things that others have noted. They don't tack particularly well, they don't like sailing close to the wind, and for me the block being on the tiller is a little awkward at first. I am confident the boom would make a big difference. It's nice however to be able to put children or novices on it, and not be overly concerned.

Also, I think your "Bob" is on backwards. I'm not sure that it matters, but the pointy section is supposed to go over the seam of the sail when you put it on. (that's how you tell which way is forward when the sail is furled)
