Hey Folks,

awesome news on the PA 12, huh? I've been told that they will be released here in Australia in June/July (bang in the middle of winter), but have a question for Matt, or one of the Hobie folks regarding parts for the new boat...

Will the Lowrance through-deck plug/socket arrangement be available as a spare part? Reason being, I'd love to retrofit one to my Revolution 13, and save having to trail cables all over the yak when I'm not on the water!

Cheers!!!

We will have a parts list for everything in the next catalog printing.
Keep in mind that the Lowrance mount is specific to the PA 12 - there is a molded recess and special through hull scupper - not sure that you're going to be able to adapt it to another hull. Maybe you'd have a use for the thru-hull wire fittings, but not the transducer mount - this will be specific to the PA 12

Yes - it will all be available once the boats are - right now the PA12's aren't even shipping - give it some time - we are flat out right now...

Any chance that the through the hull transducer will be adapted to other models in the future - eg Outback, Revo? Through hull transducers are pretty standard on fishing kayaks built in NZ. I am happily anticipating further developments in Hobie Kayaks before deciding which model I will purchase next.

We don't comment on future products as a rule - so you'll have to wait and see... sorry.

i'm pretty confident it's a sure bet that the built in transducer/scupper mount will make it's way to future/other models.
