I've heard from an experienced poster that Hobie has a new boat in the works. A sailing tri design. If so certainly timely given the Adventure Island is based on what is now an old (em..maybe mature would be more kindly) hull design.

So it shold go faster, further, etc.

Assuming it's geared for fishing, Mr Skidmore, can we please have an enclosed 6 foot fish box!!!!

Not to mention inside gear storage ala Pro Angler.

And a bubble hatch option for exploration (ever notice all tha gear piled up on the decks of yaks on the cover of "SEA KAYAKER". Why?? ) Get the load CG low and keep it dry. A touch that should make a lot of exploring customers get into SOT's versus SIt Insides.

Heck resurrect the Pelagic

Hobie engineers, in case you forgot go:

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=29921&hilit=Pelagic

And don't forget all those mod changes by the AI/TI posters.

Love our AIs but would like to see something a little faster while still keeping all the positive AI traits (mirage drive, easy to assemble, ect)

Please just make it around 14 foot 6 with a rear well around the size of an Outback, Revo front hatch, transducer scupper, forward as well as rear rod holders, enough rocker to handle head winds and swell and enough width and primary stability to be a great fishing platform. A stretched revo with a bit of outback thrown in - please :D

MINI ADVENTURE ISLAND PLEASE! REVOLUTION ISLAND?

OR MINI PRO ANGLER! I'll buy both in a heartbeat.

My vote is for Adventure about 18', slightly narrower, less chine, transducer scupper hole, and CARBON FIBER!! Or at least fiberglass.

The rumor out our way is the smaller PA - maybe you'll get one of your wishes! :D

If Hobie is making a smaller PA when would they release info on it?

Most "official" information comes out around September.

Won't have to wait for September. Looks like the PA 12 will be available in June. Looks like a nice boat... Looking forward to some reviews from those who get their hands on one early...

Well the new Pro Angler 12 looks pretty neat.

So now what about that new Hobie Trimaran!? Looking at the newly designed Triak trimaran boat it has moved closer to the Island design adopting a roller furling main sail and EZ assembly. Where it differs from the Hobie Island is the longer 18' sleek fiberglass hull and a spinner sail addition. Needless to say it is a faster boat than the AI.

Hoping that Hobie's new trimaran takes the AI to a new level with a 2nd sail option, more speed and a dryer design. Maybe something akin to the Traik.

Still love both my AIs just looking for Hobie's next leap of innovation and fun.

A lighter, faster, drier A.I. would be at the top of my wishlist...
