I have the new style V2, and my question is how do I change the mast on the turbo fin if I bent it? I bought the replacement package( extra mast, sst turbo fin and some hardware) does it just unscrew? Do I need to carry a special tool? Any opinions? :?:

The V2 masts just unscrew from the sprockets. There will either be a slot for a screw driver, or a flat side to the mast to grip with pliers. Use some blue loctite when reinstalling the mast though. You may be able to straighten it without removing it too.

I bent mine also fishing the IFA a couple weeks ago. Remove the fin and at the bottom of the rod there is a flat spot to grab them with vice grips and just unscrew them

I bent mine this weekend loading onto my trailer (Note to self; Stick a warning flag on the bow to remove the drive before loading.) I removed the ring clip from the adjustor side, then gave the stainless steel rod a good press while holding down the drive to the floor of the kayak and it straightened right out. I reinstalled the ring clip and it's all good now.
