Got-R-Dun, I think the trick was the heat. I soaked all the crossbar pins except the last one and was able to heat, twist and drive the pins out. Thank for the help NOHUHU.
Well, I took some pics but I don't see where I can attach them. So if you can tell me how to attach a pic I'll put them up.

Up load them to photobucket.com then link them to your post.

Hobiecat.com does not host photos. So you have to upload to another site, then copy the link here. Then surround link with

Then it should show.

We all dying to see the pics.

Alright! You ripped it a new one. :P

How do those holes on the bottom of the crossbar look? I can see those were eaten too.

There are some older threads here about replacing the stock Hobie stainless steel pins and how to rehab the pin holes when they are too enlarged.

I think the crossbar mounting holes are fine, maybe a little enlarged but not bad. I'll check out the older post on the SS pins. Thanks again.

For anyone with visible corrosion here, wire brush and sand those areas to the bare metal and you may find that the holes are largely made up of corroded aluminum, which will crumble away before your eyes.

My holes were 2x as large as they looked. The bar had thinned as well. Not good.

When you're sure it's all healthy metal, you can spray paint with rust cap and reinstall with slightly larger SS washers (and plastic or fiber washers between).

Washers that fit can only be slightly larger, so if the holes are too wide, it's time for new bars. That was the case with mine.
