Check back copies of the Hobie magazine (they are all here to download). One of them has the complete series of sail and hull colors to study.

I would not buy a boat based on a sail pattern, cause they all look great. Id look at the condition of the boat, sails, and trailer.

Generator was a 1989 pattern.

The full Hobie 16 sail pattern history (for North America) is here: http://www.hobiecat.com/support/pdfs/SailColorHistory.pdf

MBounds. Cool link to the sail patterns. Thx. I'm having trouble finding the pdf link on the support page. I click on the support link, and it comes up with a products page, but I don't see any link to pdfs. How did you find that sail pattern pdf? Am I missing something...... Also, have seen on other threads people refer to pdfs when answering questions, and have never been able to find what they are referring to. Thanks for any help and a reply.

Hi
Thanks for all the good advice.
Hey Alley cat I noticed in your pic your boat is all white this may be a rooky question but is the all white hard on the eyes ? as in snow blindness ?
I had a friend say the all white are very bright on the eyes when sailing .
I imagine I would always have sunglasses on when its sunny and I realize most mono hull sails are white but how do you find it?
Also what does the "red line" designation mean I have seen it on a couple ads.
Thanks
