ON APRIL 26 I FLIPPED MY PRO ANGLER AND WAS IN THE WATER FRO 30MIN BEFORE I CALLED 911 AND WAS RESCUCED BY A FISHERMAN THEN THE MARINE POLICE ALL BECAUSE I COULD NOT RE-ENTER MY KAYAK WELL ON A TRIP TO MAINE LAST MONTH I MADE A FOOT STIRUP CAUSE IM A BIG GUY AND FOUND THAT THIS WAS EASYER FOR ME SO I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THE IDEA WITH ALL ......THANKS KAYAK WILLY

cool. I had thought about something like that, but hadn't got around to working on it. Thought I would this summer and train on it while the lake water is warm(er).

Did the same thing with a 5 ft 3 strand rope. Just tied both ends to the handle using bowline knots. It hangs down and gives you a place for one foot, without the pipe.

Did 2 of these, one rear and one port side. Picked the port side, being right leg is strongest, and able to push up to swing left leg in.

Thats a pretty good idea! I just got my PA and haven't yet tried to re-enter it yet. I will be trying this method as well as without any assists. Thanks

the best way to messure is from knee to foot you have to remeber when your in the water the rear of the kayak is eye level .
