Just retrofitted my rudders with kit #1953 from Hobie. Easy install, but instructions were a little confusing. The sheet tells all of the dimensions clearly, where it rivet, etc. The confusion came from reading the instructions where it describes the "Tiller Connecter Bar Cut Lengths" for the various boats. No cutting was necessary I could have saved some confusion on my part by quickly measuring  , I suppose the cut lengths are if you are starting from a blank extrusion. Oh well, I did have a nice chat with Mr Lunn, though.

Well done, and always a pleasure to talk sailing.

Thanks go to the folks who still host 'On the Wire'......

I looked at those instructions for 1 hour, holding the tiller connector, and never thought to measure it before asking.... I guess that makes me an engineer.

Sailed the boat yesterday, with the new rudder set up. WOW. I also installed the black bushings in the parts catalogue and made some homemade shims. Eyeballed the rudder alignment for parallel. Why didn't I do this sooner.....
