I'm thinking on installing the sidekick AMA on my Outback for stability. After looking at the catalog, it shows an AMA kit in light gray or dark green. then it says mount kit with center bar. How difficult is it to install the mount kit and what additional support is required inside the hull itself? What is the total width of the center bar(could I carry it in my Thule Space Box)? How does the AMA mount on the center bar?

The mount kit with center bar isn't needed unless you want to transfer your Sidekick between 2 boats - the Sidekick comes with everything needed to install.
I have e mailed you an instruction sheet as well.

These are very easy to install. A 10-minute job at best. And they work pretty well.
