Hi all new to the community.
Been a Hobie enthusiast for the last ten ten years, but never had the oportunity to own my own boat. So saw this old 14 Turbo and bought it for next to nothing.
As most of them, it needed a lot of work.
List of new spares. New cleats for the Jib.New Tramp. New Gudgeons. Gel coat repair to both hulls (non-structural),the hulls are sound. That in itself is a plus point and a couple of odds and ends.
What remains to be done: New sails. This is going to be the largest cost. Paint job on the hulls. Two new sets of rudder castings and who know what else might go in the next six months. As most guys who have undertaken the renovation of these old favorites, I have come to a cross roads in this journey. Do I rather buy a good second had 16, which is ultimately where I would like to end up, or do I plod along and finish this renovation mountain?

Your into it now go ahead and finish it. Then you have something to sell if you want to move up. A 14T is really easy to handle. You can throw em around, Although mine threw me the other day. Where are you located? Good luck, GH
