Hi there :)

I've got a question regarding what orientation I should be placing a Hobie Oasis on the rack in the link below:

http://www.bcf.com.au/online-store/prod ... escription

Should the side be on the bar where it says "Aquarack" and have the hull seating on the other padded end? Or should it be upside down instead?

Any pictures would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Mount the supports approximately one-third of the length of the boat apart; place the kayak in the supports on its side with the bottom toward the wall.

Hi there,

I finally got the racks, but it seems that Oasis is a bit too wide for it. Just want to make sure I won't damage the hull. Could someone please take a look at the pictures below, imagine that being on the wall, and see if that will be ok or not? :?

Hull will be resting on the highest point of the bar as a third contact point

Thanks very much in advance!

Maybe try spacing them further apart? Otherwise, add your own additional padding?

Hi KayakingBob,

As much as I would like to space them further apart, I have two columns of extra bricks on my wall that sticks out around 1.2m apart (roughly the same distance between the 2 handles on the side of the Oasis). So I can't actually hang it on the rest of the wall because the 2 columns will be in the way between the two racks :(

If I am to put pool noodles on the exposed part of the racks as paddings, I supposed it would be fine? I am just unsure how much pressure the kayak can take leaning it in that kind of an angle. (Excuse me if this is a silly question, I'm not really the best person for DIY.)

Thanks!
