Hey i'm looking into racing but I don't have a crew so its just me and i'm not sure if i can handle an h18 by myself. Is it alright to handle an h18 by yourself or should i go with the 16?

Both boats have similar minimum weight requirements so unless you're 285 lbs. you'll need crew. The Hobie 17 is a single-hand boat, so look into the local racing fleet for that.

The 16 class tends to be competitive and would probably ask you to have crew. The 18 class tends to be less competitive and would probably let you slide until you started winning sailing solo.
