If you have ever followed or wished to do a Watertribe Challenge, then it is time to register for the North Carolina Challenge that will be run at Cedar Island, September 29th!!!
The Hobie Adventure Island is the perfect boat for this race. Have a friend, run the TI. This is not a boring round the buoy race. There are open waters, shallow marshes and a civil war canal. All the Adventure needed to Challenge your self and say, "Hey, I'm not over the hill". Afraid that you will drown? No worries, this is North Carolina back water, very shallow. You can walk home.
The hardest part of this race is getting there. You need some specialized gear like a SPOT and a PLB. This is for your safety. Just fallow the Rules and Warnings. http://WaterTribe.org/wt-pdfs/WaterTribeRules.pdf
This race has easier logistics than the Florida EC. It starts and ends at the same place. You have to register by August 31.
See you on the beach...
