Support your local Hobie dealer! For Hobie parts I don't see a big price difference across the board between dealers and eBay etc. We've looked at Salty Dog but have used murrays.com, with good experiece, for the '85 H16 we purchased recently.

BTW, I'm sure you've seen it but there's a dealer finder link at the top of the Hobie main page.

All depends on what you want, and what it goes to. but I'd say dealer first if you got a good one. Classifieds on this forum are a good place to look for stuff, Craigs list can help you find used or relatively new boats or parts, murrays, salty dog. I've never bought off of ebay, but am considering it for a tramp, because my choices are limited by the dealer, and hobie, of material type and color.
But that said, I still prefer the dealer first, for most parts because the one I use has a pretty knowledgable staff. And if they don't have it in stock, they good at getting it, in a reasonable amount of time.
Don't know where your from but, Midwest Sailing in Pickney, Mi is a good dealership have bought my parts from them for the last 22 years that I've had my boat.

I've looked all around the internet and for the most part, everyone seems to have similar prices on parts. I've bought from Ebay and sailsportmarine.com. I had no problems with either. I would love to buy from a Hobie dealer, but the nearest one is in Tampa. That is too far to drive for some parts.

The owner of the Dealer where I get my stuff, has helped me a great deal when it comes to advise and tips. It`s good to have the support and wisdom of more experienced pilots when it comes to any sport. Support your local Dealer whenever you can. I always go to the local Dealer, if they don`t have it, then I look somewhere else.

Shop local first. Doesn't have to be a hobie dealer, good if it is though. Just depends what it is your looking for.

I prefer to use a Hobie dealer since they know the product and will steer you in the right direction, Hobie quality is excellent, and they can use the mail system as well as anyone.

However, I am guilty of buying used parts through eBay and Craigslist, such as sails, rudders, and trampolines, but never standing rigging.

I just had a good experience with Murrays they really helped me get my order straight. If your lucky enough to have a local dealer get what you can there like they say not a big difference in price.I like buying where you can see a face.As far as E-Bay I really like my tramp from Slo Sail off of there.

I use Sail and Ski in Myrtle Beach for parts. I am in NC and they get them to me by mail very quickly. I have asked for advice and gotten great help on "how to" do things. In the 27 years that I have owned the boat I really haven't needed that many parts and it is not because I haven't used it. The last thing I replaced was the jib halyard cleat because squirrels in the yard chewed it up. They started on the main halyard cleat but I covered the cleats with a rag.

MARINER SAILS!!! They are the Hobie dealer in Dallas, however, they ship anywhere. They have a large inventory and their staff really knows Hobies. Typically, if you order before noon, they'll ship the same day. Free shipping for military. http://www.mariner-sails.com/ They have illustrated parts guides online that are very useful.
