I recently competed in the 2012 ORC put on by NWKA and did very well. I spent 3 days out on my PA and bloodied it up pretty well. Because I was camping, I could only hose it down a little between days and it was 2 days sitting before I could try to clean it. I took it to a car wash and used the pressure wash and still find my rear deck stained from the blood and Cabezon upchuck. While tattoo's are fine on me, I would like my PA to look clean.

What is the best method to remove stains from the PA? I am going to try Marine Simple Green and a brush this afternoon, but thought I would ask the group.

Thanks a ton.

I would like to know what to use to. Red dirt stains don't come out.

Should I leave it in the truck and drive through the car wash like I did the dog? You should see a freshly rainex'ed dog on a hardwood floor when you run the can opener. LOL.

You might try a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and a small brush. I haven't tried it, but would give it a shot for an organic stain. 8)

x2 - my wife works in the veterinary field and comes home with blood stains all the time. A small amount of Hydrogen Peroxide does the trick every time.

Try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. That's removed lots of stains from my PA.

Wet a small area with the stain and squirt the paste over it and rub it in.

Let it set for a while and then use a small hand scrub brush with circular motions and let it set again. Rinse and scrub while rinsing.

Great toothpaste and removes a lot of organic stuff from many surfaces. Be careful using it on cloth unless the cloth is white.

I use a pressure washer on my kayaks and that does the job great. I use the same oscillating nozzle for vinyl siding to get the stains out. It's more powerful than a car wash, so you have to be careful around decals and the soft rubber rudder handle. I mucked up the handle on my sport, and it completely removed the decals off my wave, but it's quick and you don't need chemicals.

A boat detailer that I know swears by a product called "Bar keepers Friend." He says it will cleans rust stains, that black slime stain, fish blood and won't harm the surface. I didn't ask him about plastic boats though.
