hi all! I'm new to forum :D

I've seen trailered cats at one of the Patrick Air Force Base parking lots beachside on a few occasions. unfortunately, I didn't have time to stop to ask...

is there a place where I can launch my cat on the beach???

I think I answered your question over on thebeachcats.com but I'll post the same thing up here in case anyone else is interested that doesn't check both sites.

Yes sir. Right at (28.228107, -80.599391) there is a small path that is wide enough to get a catamaran through on cat trax. It has eroded quite a bit in the past year but is still doable with 2 people and some momentum. The water is mostly clear of rocks. We try to go out at high tide but haven't hit anything at low tide either.

Just don't park in the grass. We usually unload the boat near the path and then drive the trailer over to the small parking lot to the North.

Also, I have heard Fisher Park in Cocoa is a good place to put in. It is busier and costs $5 though.

Anyone gone to Fischer park yet? I'm thinking about going there tomorrow to get out on the ocean. I know its wide enough but I'm more concerned about beach patrol giving us a hard time. Ringo told me that he called the county parks and recreation office and they said it was ok so I will probably just go give it a try.

This is also an open invitation to anyone in the area that wants to meet up.

did you ever get to Fischer Park in Cocoa Beach?

I also scoped out Patrick... it looked great until they installed posts with wire along the edge of the pavement. it's low but still not nice

the good news is that they did not add any posts with wire along the north end on the grass - still wide enough for our Hobies! we just have to roll them a bit on the grass til we get to the path.

has anyone ever beach launched in South Brevard... Indialantic, Melbourne Beach, etc.? - I found some spots via Google Earth (thank you very much) that we may try out. also, has anyone ever launched from Paradise Beach Park in Indian Harbour Beach/Indialantic area? looks promising... wide path right off of the parking area
