Hello All,

I am new to the H16 and recently purchased an 1987. I took the boat out today for the first time and definitely ran into newbie issues(Rigging, Mast Stepping, Tacking). I have experience sailing a Sunfish, Hobie Wave and a MacGregor. I was hoping someone with experience would be willing to lend me a few hours of their expertise and experience on my boat. I would really appreciate any solid advice, tips and tricks.

Thanks!!

SPROUT

Hey Sprout,

welcome aboard!. I had a Hobie 16 for years, moved up to a 20 recently. I sold my 16 to a guy not far from you; ive been helping him along. I live in Syosset, but keep my boat out on Shelter Island. PM with your contact info and we can touch base. Always willing to help!

Jim
