I'm parting out my 1981 Hobie 18. The hulls were shot, but everything else is in serviceable shape. Feel free to ask for more or better pictures. Send me a PM with any offers. I'll be reasonable as I need this stuff to move out of my dad's house fairly quickly.

Here's a link to photos of all of the parts.

Mast with diamond wires, etc: $500

Boom (I replaced the bungee a few weeks ago. The outhaul car bearings need replacing): $150

Harken Boom Blocks: $50 for all 3

Front Crossbar: $200

Rear Crossbar with swivel cleat: $180

2 Daggerboards (sanded and refinished with white epoxy): $125 each

2 pairs of trapeze wires with dogbones, handles (one is split but is still usable), new sizing line: $30 per pair

2 Shrouds: $35 each

2 Bridle Wires: $20 each

Sold Roller furler with new furling line: $70

Jib Clew Blocks and shackle: $30 for the set

Jib Sheet Blocks, Seaway (one is missing knurled knob on the slide): $75 each

Seaway 6:1 main sheet blocks: $100

Traveler with new cylinder bearings: $40

2 Bow Tang and Casting: $15 each

2 Old hatches (one has some chips in the cover): $5 each

2 Jib Tracks (needs new end caps): $10 each

2 Tramp Tracks: $30 each

Sold 2 Anchor Plates: $10 each

2 Anchor pins: $5 each

4 Gudgeons: $10 each

Sold 5 Rudder Pins, aluminum: $30 for the set

Sold Rudder Castings, old style. We greased them with marine moly and had no problems with them not popping up when we wanted them to: $150 for the complete set

Rudder Blades (one had a nick from some fishing line but has been repaired with epoxy): $50 each

Tiller crossbar (has some corrosion damage at one end, but is still functional): $40

4 Trapeze bungee eyestraps: $4 for the set

Bent Mast Rotator: free to a good home. I don't even know if they can be repaired. Tell me if it's trash.

Halyard ring with twist shackle: $5

Trampoline (it's in usable shape but the top surface had faded and was previously painted with gray spray paint. They ran out before they finished): $100

Sold Toy Box (it had some UV damage but I sprayed it with about 6 cans of white spray paint, added some 2x4s to the bottom for structure, and restructured the middle seam by adding more bolts and silicone sealant. It looks great now and is perfectly usable.): $150

Main Sail (Fantasia) with battens: $300

Jib (Yellow and needs some repair. There's a 1 inch rip near the leech of the sail and the tack grommet is missing. The leather in at the top of the luff pocket needs to be re-sewn): $50

Galvanized Steel Trailer (It's in good shape with new 12 inch wheels, new winch and upright, separate from the mast holder): $500

I might be interested in the Toy box and the shroud reinforcing plates. Can you send some pictures? I am near Atlanta so a reasonable drive away.

the bearings in my traveler car are getting worn and I'm thinking of rebuilding it but it could be worth buying the one you have if the price were more reasonable, would you take $20

New ones in the Hobie catalog run at $130. I believe the price is reasonable at $40 with new bearings.

What kind of shape is the front cross bar? Have you had the base and dolphin striker seperated from crossbar? If so is it dented around the edges of the base?

I've got a guy interested in the front crossbar right now. If that sale doesn't work out, I'll let you know.

To address your questions, I have not separated the dolphin striker and step from the crossbar. Everything is solid, and the rivets are still holding tight. I don't see any denting around the mast step base without removing it. Let me know if there's anything else you're interested in. Thanks!

I was the one that bought the toy box and shroud anchor plates. They are great folks to work with and I recommend the seller. :D

Thanks a bunch, Chet. It was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope we'll see you out on the lake sometime!

Hey there, I have an H14 that I'm revamping. It has the old school traveler setup on it, but I may be converting (local guy has the parts I need). What block parts do you still have that could be of service to me? Thanks so much.

Thanks for the reply, but I've found the parts I needed, and have taken it out sailing about half a dozen times. Thanks again!

Still have a bunch of stuff for sale. With my last boat, I also got some extra sails and have a set of Cat Fever main and jib for sale.
