I've purchased a later mod of the forward cross bar--the one where the plate extending forward with the plastic ball bearings in it is inserted into the Xbar and welded twice. I've also just read about the internal trusses tearing out of the hull.

Can anyone direct me to threads with tips or experience on replacing this Xbar and making sure the trusses are tuned properly inside the hull? Or, if no threads exist, can anyone offer any advice about this??

Going away with the boat in a week, and would like to feel safe in rougher conditions. Thanks!
