Well I can see a hobie 18 is not a Shark and handles rather badly so what do you do in bad weather when you need to reduce sail area to come home .Hope in this Hobie World there are true sailors at this point I 'm not sure from a sailor that has some forty plus years that only needs a little help in understanding this boat.Noel

That makes two of us. Are you talking about a Tandem Island or a Hobie 18? They are two different animals.

The TI kayak has a roller furling main, the catamaran has a roller furling jib and should have regular reef points in the main.

What specifically do you need to know? Reefing isn't exactly rocket science.....
