Anyone know if the proper install requires two of these adapter arms? When I ordered mine only one arm arrived - it holds the transducer just fine but another arm looks like it'd provide the right amount of support.

Should have 2 - if it was supplied with only 1 arm that was a shipping error. Just call the dealer back and have them get you the second arm - sorry for that mistake.

I was talking to the parts dept this morning and we sell these in quantities of ea. - but reality is they should only be sold in pairs - and you also need a screw and nut to hold it all in place (a 10/32 x 1 1/2" long screw and lock nut)

They will be making a 'kit' part number in the near future so you can order it complete - we sort of jumped the gun giving out the adapter only part number - as it wasn't clear that you really needed to have 2 of these to mount it correctly (plus the screw)

I'll let Matt reply to this thread with the new kit part number when he has it.

Same part number will be used... we will now be including 2 plastic parts with a bolt and a nut. Sorry about this issue, it was an oversight, but we'll fix it.

Contact a dealer for missing parts if you received incomplete.

I only received one arm as well. It worked fine until the other one I ordered came in. Sounds like I got double charged though.

Just ordered my PA 12 and should receive shortly. I currently have a Humminbird FF, will I need this adapter plate for the transducer to install properly? Any info is appreciated.

Yes, you'll definitely need this transducer plate if you don't want to try to come up with your own mod.
Just make sure they ship you the entire kit.
I ordered the transducer plate and they gave me just one mounting arm, bolt, nut and the 2nd arm wasn't included.

Still haven't gotten my second arm and I probably won't bother asking them to ship me the bolt and nut if it doesn't ever come.

Thanks for the info, I will make sure to get one ordered. Any recommendations on the best place to order from?

I couldn't find any online dealers who looked like they had it in stock. Most online dealers will just put in an order to Hobie, then turn around and ship it to you.
If you can find a local dealer then that's the best way to go. Just make sure to tell them that Hobie has had some issues with their parts department and ask them to make sure that two transducer mounting arms, a bolt and nut are included in the package.

This is doubly true if you want to order online through a dealer - otherwise you might end up paying double.
