I recently had both adjustment buckles on the the sides of the seat break. The angle of the seat back isn't terrible but on long, off-shore trips I like to adjust the angle during the trip. Has anyone had this problem or know a quick fix?

Thanks Matt. Is the warranty one year after purchase and what if the dealer is out of business?

No dealer would have these in stock.

That picture is helpful. I was interested in how they'll adapt since the plastic buckles are sewn in.

Please consider having dealers stock these
a broken buckle on a PA seat is a pain, that you can't walk in and get them from your local dealer is a bigger pain

I used a small "C" clamp for the problem. I think it works better than the buckles. Just my solution. And the clamp is adjustable too!!! Ace Hardward had a set of one Large 3 in. clamp with two one inch clamps in the package.. Just what I needed to fix the two broken buckles. Make sure to clamp with the handle pointing out, not into the body.

Good Luck.

Okay, I just picked up a set of the replacement buckles, but how do they go on? Could someone post a photo? Now that I've thought about it  , does the loop of one strap go through the two connected slits while the other strap passes completely through the unconnected and center slits? I'm going to run outside and give it a try.

When my nylon buckles broke, I just tied the two straps together. The angle of the seat is just about perfect for me, but the "repair" looks a little bit too "redneck" for my tastes, so I spent $8.00 for the set of replacement buckles.

Mine broke may 30th. I went to my local dealer. Put in a warranty claim. Now almost 3 months later, I finnaly got my replacement clips. Sent me two pairs too. " long story " funny thing is, the day I picked them up, " last Friday" my buddy called me and told me his broke as well. Prefishing for ride the bull. Common problem it seems. Nothing 2 circle hooks and 2 swivels couldn't fix out on the water. They are still holding. Best part is, he broke his mirage drive the same day. Ouch!!!! Talk about unlucky!!!
