I want to add the step link kit to my boat but neither the mast step or mast base are drilled. I read the directions from Hobie on drilling the mast step, but can I drill the base or do I need to buy one that's are already drilled? Are they the same base or have they changed?

Thanks

You should be able to drill the existing base. There used to be instructions in the kit to do that. If not I may be able to dig an old one up.
