How should a H18 main sail and jib be stored, rolled or folded? I have the original sail bag if that matters.

Thanks

Rolled.

Creases from folding have a tendency to become permanent.

Roll that joint! Not so easy to light, though.

I hand roll mine very loose
the sails are kept in a heated and air conditioned area of my house
Make sure that they are very dry

Thanks for the input.

I had a feeling this was the method but I wanted to confirm. I'll be side lined for a few a year or two due to surgery. The boat is already set for storage and the sails are rolled and put away.

I've had offers to buy my 18 but there's no way I'm cashing out. I'll sail this boat until I'm too old to do so!

Probably the most important thing to consider when storing sails is to put them somewhere that will not allow mice to get to them. Mice will do more damage to your sail than just about anything else.

Also make sure the sails are good and dry, otherwise they can develop mold or corrosion.
