I think that's great news mmiller! I can't wait to see what Hobie will bring to market next spring or the year after. Hmm, maybe a new boat might be in my future afterall.

Well, things have changed a bit...

Today we announced the purchase of Hobie Cat Europe. This is effective 9-1-2012.

Hobie Cat USA now owns Hobie Cat Europe and have put the Hobie Cat company back together again as one company after 23 years split into two by Coleman when they sold us into two separate companies. Nothing has yet changed as far as availability of Hobie Cat Europe boats, but the process of getting products here is changed.

That is great news! Nice move!

That is FANTASTIC news!

By the way, a couple of things I have been trying to do to spread the word about our wonderful boats is to try bringing at least a few young first timers out on my H16 each year. Last year was only 4, this year was 6.

Near where I sail there are typically over a 1000 power boaters rafted together partying each weekend. I love buzzing by the crowd a few times. It always gets their attention. And I have a boring single color 33 year old boat.

Maybe have a contest next year, to the person who takes the most 1st timers out during the month of July, or something similar. Prizes don't need to be big, maybe a new harness, or $100 worth of credit at a Hobie dealer.

I would do that, but how can you prove you took them sailing?

Johan, what a great program you have there. I have a son who lost all interest in sailing due to the fact all he could sail as a youngster here was an opti. which for him was of little thrill. If we only had a program like yours here in Texas.....
Thank you for posting the video it was great.!

gelukkige zeilen!
