2010 Hobie Wave FOR SALE (one owner)

Hardly used this boat has been in our family for hardly 2 years since brand new. Lovingly cared for by our 2 teenage boys they have now outgrown the boat and looking to trade up to a Hobie 16 or similar.

This boat has been sailed maybe 10 times each of the 2 season. Its biggest outing has been the participation in the "Longest and Oldest Sunfish Regatta in the World - The Around Shelter Island Race" (hence the cool race numbers and sponsor stickers - which can all be removed)

This boat comes with beach dollies (large wheels), a jib kit, trapeze, hiking stick and a main sheet preventer. Basically all you need to have fun. (no trailer)

Depending on the deal and distance I can trailer the Wave to buyer as I have another boat that has a trailer that I would use.

The Wave is a snap to disassemble and transport and even car-toppable.

I have the original bill of sale, all documentation, warranty card, owners manual, assembly manual and more.

There is an entire picture gallery of the boat here:

Question about Jib Cleats - on my 07 Wave, the cleats are much further back, between the blue pads ... did the original owner install them incorrectly, or are there different locations specified for installing these cleats?

By the way... after sailing a 16 and now going solo... I HIGHLY recommend a Wave! They are just as much fun, and you don't have to sit on shore on windy days because you have no crew. And you can run w/o a Jib and still turn easily - unlike a 16!

Thanks for info on the cleats!

Your cleats are correctly installed. I have no idea why those on this boat are so far forward.
